Before we even contemplated building Mountain View Methodist, we worked with the church for eight months, helping them with their fundraising efforts. After assisting in the design of the impressive structure, we began to build, connecting it to an existing building, which had to continue functioning during construction. Perhaps the most visually striking aspect of the church is the exposed "gluelam" timber ceiling, but behind the scenes, the church appreciated our coming in $50,000 under budget and finding space for additional parking. They had hoped to be in by Christmas, so we were pleased to be able to finish the job by Thanksgiving. Jerry Cornelius, Building Committee Chairman of Mountain View, summed up our work this way:
