Charley’s is an independently owned restaurant and catering establishment. J.E. Jamerson and Sons work closely with the interior designers to ensure that the finish layouts, which were unsymmterical with the building, met the close tolerances that were specified.Charley’s features a main dining area, a separate meeting room, a tavern, a deck, and a deck garden to accommodate individual guests and groups.
J.E. Jamerson and Sons was awarded the orginial clubhouse construction in the 1970s. As Wintergreen Resort expanded and upgraded their facilities, it became necessary to construct a new golf clubhouse. J.E. Jamerson and Sons was awarded the project that involved constructing a temporary facility, demolishing the existing facility and construction a new facility.
The golf clubhouse is a spacious 17,000 square foot facility complete with locker rooms, dining areas, and a full-service golf shop. The facility also includes a golf cart storage area on the lower level.
J.E. Jamerson and Sons created this building to represent our history and quality of work as well as to facilitate the growing needs of all the Jamerson Companies. The project was designed to take advantage of the architectural character of the downtown area of Appomattox. The project is a two-story structure consisting of the Jamerson Building Supply retail store on the first floor and the corporate offices on the second floor. The building has an open foyer exposing the heart pine salvaged from a local warehouse. The second floor office include state-of-the-art technology for project managing and estimating.
The Neighbors Place, a well-known restaurant in the Lynchburg area, was the first commercial space constructed in the newly created Wyndhurst development which is a community developed by Jamerson Real Estate. The restaurant was a design-build project. The motif for this design was to simulate tobacco barns, which were prevalent in the area in the 1800s. The project features a covered entrance, outside dining with a large firepit, and an exhibition kitchen open to the dining area. Exposed beams in the foyer provide unique aesthetics while assisting to direct natural lighting.
Main Street Galleria was completed in 1983 as a partnership with the City of Lynchburg. The project was created to provide access to City Hall from Main Street. J.E. Jamerson and Sons was both the builder and the developer. The Galleria is a three-story mixed-use development that is highlighted by a three-story atrium that runs the length of the building featuring a 120 foot barrel vaulted skylight.
